Configuring your computer for Wi-Fi
- Make sure that you have followed your Wi-Fi card manufacturer's instructions during the installation process. Different manufacturers have different steps in the setup of the wireless networking card.
- Make sure that your wireless networking card is installed and enabled (turned on).
Windows Users
- Open your Wi-Fi card configuration utility.
- In the area that requires a "network name" or "SSID", type or select "V|hotspot".
(V|hotspot is the ID for all interVations V|hotspot wireless hotspots)

Macintosh Users
- Open the TCP/IP control panel and set it to "Connect via: Airport" and to "Configure: Using DHCP Server."
- Open the Apple Airport control panel and "Turn Airport On."
- Select the access point "V|hotspot".

Access Instructions
Open any valid web page and within a few seconds the interVations V| hotspot network will automatically redirect you to a login screen. Follow the onscreen login process to activate your purchased time. A Popup window will appear which contains your remaining time and logout button. This window should not be closed. If you do close this window, in your browsers address bar type http://1.1.1.1/info.cgi to view how much time you have left and/or to logout.
Once you have finished the login process, you can browse the internet, use your email, or launch a Virtual Private Network (or other secure encrypted connection) to your corporate network. To logoff, disconnect any VPNs and then click the Logout Button or in your browsers address bar type http://1.1.1.1/logout.cgi.
